Verizon Wireless in Missoula Montana Saves The Trip

As most of you know, Kyle & I rely heavily on our gadgets to get through the day, so it should be no surprise that we've leveraged several online tools to help book hotels, find destinations to visit, find restaurants... etc. To stay online (and keep Kyle's iPhone 4 on life-support) we enlisted the use of a Verizon Wireless (Novatel) Mifi 2200. To our dismay, the mifi that had been working so well, stopped functioning yesterday for no apparent reason. I hoped a simple reset would fix the issue, so I called Verizon technical support for help. After some time spent on the phone running a few tests, the phone tech concluded that the device may be fried, but wasn't sure, so this issue now required further investigation by an in-store tech. Our trip basically came to a screeching halt. If we were unable to get the mifi working again, we would now have to rely on shoddy hotel wireless networks or sit inside a Starbucks bumming wifi, all the while arguing about why I can't just order a "large" beverage at Starbucks.

Today we hit up Verizonwireless.com and found the nearest Verizon store, it was located in Missoula, Montana. I called the store and spoke with the manager, Zach. After explaining our situation, he told us to come in to the store so he could fix us up. As we drove out to the store, Kyle & I tried to think of different ways to continue planning the trip if we couldn't get the mifi working again--no idea was better than a working mifi. At the store we were greeted and met Zach. He looked at the mifi and my laptop then, after some investigation, determined the mifi was in-fact completely dead, it would have to be replaced. Great, how much was this going to cost?? To our surprise, not a penny... without any hassle, he opened a new mifi, activated it, installed the software on my computer and got us up and running again!

Success, trip saved! Thank you, Zach and your team, for quickly getting our trip back on track!

Danny: Can I get a large black coffee?
Barista: A what?
Danny: Large black coffee.
Barista: Do you mean a venti?
Danny: No, I mean a large.
Barista: Venti is large.
Danny: No, venti is twenty. Large is large. In fact, tall is large and grande is Spanish for large. Venti is the only one that doesn't mean large. It's also the only one that's Italian. Congratulations, you're stupid in three languages.
Barista: A venti is a large coffee.
Danny: Really? Says who? Fellini? Do you accept lira or is it all euros now?
